BOSAQ is helping them to become real Water Heroes. We are set out to reduce the water consumption in the assets of AG RE both by offering technical solutions and by creating awareness among the tenants of the buildings to encourage them to conserve water.
Last month on the 22nd of March, World Water Day, we kicked-off our awareness campaign in two buildings identified by AG RE. That day their tenants were surprised with a little guerilla stunt. Tips and information about water are shared everywhere in the buildings.
Technical measures are being taken and a benchmark is being set. AG RE took the first step towards more sustainability within their buildings, however they can’t do it alone. Together with all their tenants they are striving to be real ‘Water Heroes’. By the end of this year a winner of the Water Hero Contest will be identified.
Not only is AG RE implementing a sustainable water management, with every m3 they save, they will donate €1,- to our non-profit organization Water Heroes, which provides safe drinking water to vulnerable communities around the world. We do this by providing our technology, decentralized water purification units, to local communities in need.
With €1,- BOSAQ can provide a single time 200 liters of drinking water. In developing countries the average water consumption per day is 5 liters. This means that with 1 euro we can help 40 people for one day for a whole year!
