It all started with a question.

A question that became impossible to ignore after witnessing the realities of water scarcity around the world. Traditional infrastructure delivers remarkable results where it exists, but for many communities and industries, it remains too slow, too complex or simply out of reach.

We believed there had to be another way. Water infrastructure should adapt to the people and businesses that depend on it, not the other way around. That belief became BOSAQ.

It started below zero
Long before BOSAQ existed, the founder and CEO Jacob Bossaer worked as an engineer at the Princess Elisabeth Antarctica Station, the world's first zero-emission research station. In one of the harshest environments on Earth, water wasn't treated as something to consume and discard. Every drop was recovered, reused and carefully managed.
That sparked a simple question: if circular water systems can work in Antarctica, why not anywhere? That question became the foundation of BOSAQ.
Since 2017, we've continued building on that same belief. Today, it helps communities secure a safe drinking water supply and enables industries to use water more intelligently.
BOSAQ donated 10% of its profits to Water Heroes, an independent, self-managed NGO that provides safe drinking water to vulnerable communities who cannot afford these solutions themselves.
